As COVID-19 spreads, so also are all sorts of inaccurate facts about the virus and treatment of the infection. Have you found yourself a recipient of such stories? Have you forwarded the same yourself?

As accountable citizens, we owe it to ourselves, and our community to disseminate information that is accurate and not propagate news that lacks integrity.

Sometimes the ripple effect of fake news cannot be estimated, so we must act with caution. The TED video will give you a picture of the negative impact of spreading fake news.
Share news from reliable and certified sources. In the case of COVID-19, stick to sources like the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

Remember to practice strict hygiene and stay safe.
